Constructed using nothing but top-tier house sponges and good ol’ wall paint from your local Lowe’s and Home Depot (who says you need fancy art supplies to create a masterpiece?), this colossal painting was an absolute blast to create on a hand-crafted canvas that’s taller than an average offensive lineman – over 7 feet tall!
As an artist who usually sticks to charcoal and pencil, diving into the world of color was as daunting as taking on the Tigers in the Iron Bowl. But I decided, if I was going to take the plunge, I might as well make a tidal wave! And a tidal wave I made, creating a limited run of 300 signed and numbered prints, plus about 100 artist proofs. This isn’t just a one-off, folks. It’s more exclusive than a sideline pass at Bryant-Denny Stadium!
Regrettably, during a storm as intense as the 2013 Iron Bowl and a subsequent move, some prints were damaged, and the original art file and records of purchases were lost. Despite channeling my inner detective, I couldn’t account for 50 of the prints. So, once these final gems are claimed, that’s all she wrote! This print will be officially sold out, never to be reproduced as a print, signed, or numbered again.
