Crafted using nothing but the finest house sponges and regular ol’ wall paint from your neighborhood Lowe’s and Home Depot (who needs fancy art supplies, right?), this behemoth of a painting was a riot to create on a hand-crafted canvas that’s taller than your average defensive lineman – over 7 feet tall!
For this artist, who usually plays it safe with charcoal and pencil, venturing into the world of color was as intimidating as facing the Crimson Tide in the Iron Bowl. But, I figured, if I was going to dive into the deep end, I might as well make a splash! And splash I did, creating a limited run of 300 signed and numbered prints, plus about 100 artist proofs. This isn’t just one-of-a-kind, folks. It’s rarer than a quiet moment at Jordan-Hare Stadium during a home game!
Unfortunately, during a storm that rivaled the intensity of the 2013 Iron Bowl and a subsequent move, some prints were damaged, and the original art file and records of purchases were lost. Despite my best detective work, I couldn’t account for 70 of the prints. So, once these last few treasures are snapped up, that’s it, folks! This print will be officially sold out, never to be reproduced as a print, signed, or numbered again.
